NATIONAL TRANSPORTATION WEEK 2011
Transportation Through The Ages!
National Transportation Week (NTW) focuses on raising public awareness of the importance of transportation, the benefits it brings to each and every person, as well as the future opportunities and challenges we face. Whether they operate a car, ride on a bus, plane or train, or use goods shipped from around the world, every person in America is served by transportation.
As part of the Nation’s 2011 celebration of NTW, the 902d Logistics Readiness Squadron and the San Antonio Chapter of the NDTA sponsored the NTW Fifth Grade Poster Contest. The poster contest is one of the most exciting community outreach programs we have to introduce students to the value of transportation. Teachers were invited to use this contest to encourage students to explore the importance of transportation and its benefits to society today and in the future.
