For the third consecutive year, the annual Chapter Christmas party was held at the Holiday Inn-Riverwalk. Chapter President Cliff Altizer opened the festivities by welcoming the fifty party goers and Harry Reese led the group in prayer with an inspirational invocation.
Thanks to Cindy Holliday and other Christmas party committee members, there were lots of presents under the tree for the children and adults as well. Additionally, Christine Hernandez and LaVern Reed donated five gorgeous wreaths as prizes. Debbie Arnold won the first wreath, drawn as a door prize. (wreath photos).
Shorty Salmans ran the 50-50 drawing, which netted $61.50 for the lucky winner, LaVern Reed and another $61.50 for the Chapter scholarship fund. The remaining four wreaths were given away by drawing from the remaining 50-50 tickets. The lucky winners were: Nancy Engebretson, Nancy Bonner, Linda Minazzi, and Zak Hernandez. Everyone, especially the children, had a wonderful time celebrating the season. A special thanks goes to Debbie Arnold, Cindy Holliday and everyone else who contributed to making the Christmas celebration such a wonderful success.
