San Antonio Chapter Members volunteered to serve breakfast to Wounded Warriors!!!

As a small show of appreciation of Wounded Warriors and the great sacrifices made by them and their family members, NDTA members, non-members, transporters, non-transporters and family members united at the Operation HomeFront Village, San Antonio (OHV-SA) to serve them breakfast.  On Saturday morning, November 12, 2011, this group of volunteers donated their time and resources to serve fruit, tacos, orange juice and coffee.  To ensure Wounded Warriors and their families were aware of the breakfast, volunteers knocked on doors and distributed flyers.  Approximately 30 Wounded Warriors and family members enjoyed the breakfast.  OHV-SA is located at the Republic Woodlake Apartment Complex, 7027 FM 78, San Antonio, approximately five miles from Brooke Army Medical Center and The Center for the Intrepid.  Ms. Gracie Broll, Transition Assistance Coordinator, and the wounded service members and their families expressed great appreciation to our volunteers for taking the time to recognize them and their families.

The San Antonio Chapter A-35s thank everyone that helped and look forward to the next volunteer event.  (Air Force employee Heather Humphrey, Chapter A-35 Chairperson arranged for the event.)
